Winning Form selections for Fairview on Wednesday 22nd April where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
RULES OF CONDUCT made the expected natural improvement when second over 1400m on the turf last time. He set the pace, but found one too good in the form of Chief Master. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody is a progressive type and he can go one better.
POWEROFPEACE produced an encouraging debut effort over 1100m on the turf. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Declarationofpeace would have gained from the experience and can improve over the extra 100m on offer.
FLYING SKITT ran a fair race over this distance on the turf last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Skitt Skizzle is a progressive type and can show.
RACE 2
This is a weak Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is PERFECT IMPACT from the Dean Smith stable. She returns from a 15-week break and is having her first run for the yard. On best form shown, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
FANTINE was reported to be not striding out last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is having her first start for the Alan Greeff stable and can show good improvement.
SALOON GIRL makes her local debut and is having her first run for Trainer Kelly Mitchley. She took on winners over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and there may be improvement to come from her.
RACE 3
XTINES PRINCESS returns from a 14-week break and is having her first outing for the Dean Smith yard. She over raced over 1400m last time and the drop to 1200m should suit her well. The daughter of Kingman has scope and in this field, she can improve to find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
MYSTICAL BUTTERFLY returns from a 10-week break and is having her first effort for the Juan Nel stable. She showed some promise in her second and third career outings. If taking to the polytrack, there may be good improvement to come from her.
WITHOUT HESITATION has shown good improvement in the Eastern Cape. She was running on when third over 1300m on this course last time. She is having her peak run and would not be a surprise winner.
RACE 4
FIREALLEY was not disgraced when sixth in the Non-Black Type Fairview Flying Five last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The 8yo gelding won his only attempt over this C&D. Kyle Strydom retains the ride and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
GLOBAL ALLY stayed on when third over 1800m on the turf last time. Three of his eight career victories have come on this course. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. GOLDEN PEACE has fair recent form lines to his name. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
RACE 5
TERMINAL VELOCITY followed up her maiden victory with a creditable fourth-place finish over 2000m on the turf. She has finished second three times and third twice from as many starts on this course. She has cracked pole position and if getting away on terms, she may be the one to beat.
LANA VIEW finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
LEBOMBO GOLD is better than her last start in the Oaks Plate. It must be noted that Silvan Mistress has come out and won again since. If Gareth Wright is able to switch her off early, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 6
ROYAL MERMAID won a good race over this distance last time. She set the pace and found more where it matters most. The daughter of Potala Palace received a four-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and can follow up.
LADY LUCK finished 1.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
ROCKIE BLUE finished 1.85 lengths behind COLORAMA last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights. If not too far out of her ground turning for home, she should be competitive.
RACE 7
WORLD PHAROAH showed some signs of needing his comeback run over 1200m on the turf. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He won his only attempt over this C&D, three runs ago. The son of Erupt will strip much fitter and in this field, he can return to winning ways.
TRAVEL MASTER should have finished closer last time as he hung outwards throughout. Four of his seven career victories have come on this course. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the combination cannot be ignored.
AADEHYA received a bump leaving the start last time and never got into the race. He is an inconsistent individual and on best form shown, he can place.
RACE 8
DANCING IN WINTER ran a fair race over 1200m on the turf last time. She raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of What A Winter won her only attempt over this C&D. Gareth Wright is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the widest draw and she may be hard to peg back.
GENOVEFA has good recent form lines to her name. She stayed on when third over 1200m on this course last time. She will strip much fitter and merits healthy respect.
WHIRLYBIRD ran a fair race in her local debut over 1200m on the turf. The daughter of Canford Cliffs would have come on from the outing. She takes a slight drop in class and would not be a surprise winner.
