Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday 3rd April where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
FLYING FATE produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She was slow into stride, understandably raced green but finished off her race well. The daughter of Master Of My Fate would have gained from the experience and if taking to the polytrack, she may be the one to beat.
SIYABAMBELELA finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice on debut. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
PEACE ROSE has run two good races to date. She returns from a lengthy 32-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Querari has plenty of scope and if not in need of the run, she should give a good account of herself.
Race 2
This is a weak Open Maiden for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is DREAM DECISION from the Stuart Ferrie stable. She was her own worst enemy over this C&D last time as she over raced in the early stages. Siphesihle Hlengwa steps back into the saddle and if switching off early, she can go one better.
CALI BULLET should have finished closer last time as she hung outwards in the final 400m. She has finished second on this course previously. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
CAN WE START was disappointing over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The daughter of The Apache drops back in distance and in this field, it would be no surprise to see her in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 3
MASTER DU ROUVRAY has good consistent form lines to his credit. He set the pace over 1600m last time and tried hard all the way to the line. The son of Master Of My Fate should be ideally suited to 1800m and can notch up his third-career victory.
HIGH QUEUE set the pace over 2000m on the turf last time, but found one too good in the form of Continentalexpress. He is ideally suited to this distance and merits healthy respect.
SESAME ran on well when winning her last start over 1900m on this course. She received a five-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and can follow up.
Race 4
NATIONAL DREAM showed good signs of a form return over 1800m on this course last time. He lost a length leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. The 7yo gelding is fitted with blinkers which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He drops back in class and may be the one to side with.
TAKEYOURBESTSHOT followed up his maiden win with a good victory over this C&D. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Anaas Mosaheb which will assist his cause. He is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.
I AM CLASSY won a game race over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The son of Pomodoro should get a good run in transit from pole position and merits obvious consideration
Race 5
MY LUCKY CHARM was not disgraced when facing stronger over 1400m on the turf last time. The son of Master Of My Fate will enjoy the rise to 1600m. He takes a drop in class and despite his big weight of 62.5kgs, he may be the one to beat.
BASIE RAAKVAT finished second last time but was demoted to third after causing interference. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He will be running on and is one of the leading contenders.
GREEN MILE finished 2.95 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 6
SIBERIAN WINTER has good consistent form lines to her credit. She stayed on when third over this C&D last time. The daughter of Rabada always gives of her best and she can notch up her fourth-career victory.
SPIRIT OF SHIMLA followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The daughter of Vercingetorix is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
THOUGHT CONTROL ran a good race in her post maiden effort over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She will enjoy the drop back to 1400m. If taking to the polytrack, she may be hard to peg back.
Race 7
JAZZ DIVA should have won her last start over this C&D as she had no luck in the straight. She finished 0.8 lengths behind MYSTIQUE ROUGE that day and is 1.5kgs better off at the weights. With a bit of luck from her awkward draw of eight, she can return to winning ways.
GORGEOUS BOMB should have finished closer to the winner last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The pacifiers are re-fitted and on best form shown, she should pose a threat.
MYSTIQUE ROUGE was her own worst enemy over 1600m last time as she over raced in the early stages. The 6yo mare is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Nicholas Patel steps back into the saddle and on previous form, she should have a say.
Race 8
CATCH A PENNY produced a strong finish when touched off in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She has finished third on this course previously. She jumps from a good draw of four and Sean Veale may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
MAGICAL SKY showed speed when winning her last start over this C&D. She received a four-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Willow Magic jumps from pole position and should run a big race.
CALL ME JANE finished 1 length behind WINGS OF JOSEPHINE last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned
