Race 1

ONE OF THOSE DAYS ran a good race when second over 1450m on the Inside course last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. The son of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and can go one better.

WHAT A WARRIOR showed good improvement when third over 1450m on the Inside course last time. He takes on older rivals but is coming along the right way, and may be the one to fill the exacta spot. He is carded to race on 28 March 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

MILLENNIUM WARRIOR is the stable companion of the top choice. He has shown improvement in his last two starts, the latest of which was over 1600m on this course. The son of Pomodoro can finish in the placings.

Race 2

Trainer Sean Tarry holds a strong hand in this contest and can saddle the first two past the post. GET UP was super-impressive when winning on debut over this C&D. She finished strongly and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of What A Winter could be anything and can remain unbeaten.

GRISELDA found one too good in the form of Secretary Bird in the Listed Wilgerbosdrift Ruffian Stakes last time. The daughter of Erik The Red steps up to 1160m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should be competitive.

GOOD DAY SUNSHINE found betting support when winning on debut over 1000m on this course. The daughter of Vercingetorix will enjoy the extra 160m on offer and she should have a big chance.

Race 3

GIMME A VODKA is one of the better bets on the programme. He ran a good race when second in the Listed TAB Storm Bird Stakes last time. He was slow into stride, but stayed on nicely to finish second. He will love the rise to 1160m and should take a power of beating.

TWILIGHT is a filly taking on the males. She was given a peach of a ride when winning on debut over 1000m on the Inside course. The daughter of Querari will love the extra distance on offer and she could be anything.

THE BRONX BULL made the expected natural improvement when winning his maiden over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. He finished 0.05 lengths behind NIGHTSHINE on debut. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

Race 4

ALADDIN’S LAMP stayed on when 2.3 lengths behind DAIMYO in the Listed WSB Aquanaut Handicap last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today. The son of Master Of My Fate is having his first run for the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable. He should get a good run in transit from pole position, and can return to winning ways.

POETS WARRIOR was an easy winner over 2400m on this course last time. The 6yo gelding has no stamina issues and if getting his own way in front, he can notch up his eighth-career victory.

DAIMYO won a good race in the Listed WSB Aquanaut Handicap last time. He is another frontrunner and if all goes according to plan, he should be involved at the finish.

Race 5

TEXAS RED has good consistent form lines to his credit. He ran a cracker when third in the Grade 1 H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes last time. He has won three times, finished second three times and third twice from 11 starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck in running, he may be the one to beat.

MAIN DEFENDER finished 1.4 lengths behind the top selection last time. He has won five times and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Pathfork is having his peak run and should produce a big effort.

COSMIC SPEED finished 2.9 lengths behind the top choice in the race referred to above. He is 2kgs worse off at the weights today. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this distance. On best form shown, he can win this contest.

Race 6

DOUBLE GRAND SLAM lasted long enough when winning the Grade 1 Maine Chance Farms Majorca Stakes last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix is the class horse in this contest and if all went well with her travels, she should take a power of beating.

RAINBOW LORIKEET finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

GOLDEN PALM was running on when second in the Grade 1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic last time. It is encouraging that Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle. With a bit of luck in running, she should give her older rivals a run for their money.

Race 7

BUFFALO STORM CODY won a good race over 1160m on this course last time. He showed speed and found extra to keep all challengers at bay. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody has won under Richard Fourie previously. He is in a good space and should be the one to beat.

WILLIAM ROBERTSON was reported to be fatigued after his last outing. The 7yo gelding won this race last year, always gives of his best and merits healthy respect.

KINGDUNDEE won a good race in the Grade 1 World Pool Cape Flying Championship last time. The son of The United States returns from a well-deserved 12-week break. He is unbeaten from six starts over this distance and if all went well with his travels, he can keep that record intact.

OKAVANGO is the stable companion of the top choice. He won a game race in the Listed Kings Cup last time, despite carrying a big mass. The son of Master Of My Fate is likely to get his own way in front from pole position and may be hard to peg back.

Race 9

RADIO STAR was not disgraced when sixth in the Grade 1 HKJC World Pool SA Classic last time. The son of Fire Away steps up to 2450m for the first time. He is the class horse in the race and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can return to winning ways.

CURIOUS GIRL was super-impressive when winning the Non-Black Type Ormond Ferraris Oaks Trial last time. The daughter of Futura has no stamina issues and from her good draw of two, she should be competitive.

TEXAS MISSILE finished 1.5 lengths behind DIOGENES in the Listed WSB Hawwaam Stakes last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is likely to race on the pace from his good draw of four and may be hard to peg back.

Race 10

HAZY DAZY is the top bet on the programme. She has won the first two legs of the Wilgerbosdrift Triple Tiara with ease. The manner in which she races suggests that she should not have any issues with the rise to 2450m. Trent Mayhew knows her well and if all goes according to plan, she should take a power of beating.

LITTLEMISSMILLION has caught the eye in her last two starts. The daughter of Elusive Fort should love the rise to 2450m and she has cracked a decent barrier position. Craig Zackey has won on her previously and the combination merit healthy respect.

DAISY JONES finished 2.55 lengths behind the top choice last time. She raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. If seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can finish in the placings.

Race 11

UMZINGELI WENYATHI was not disgraced in the Grade 3 TAB National Currency Sprint last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody drops back in class and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he can notch up his third-career victory.

AFRICAN PRINCE was running on when second over this C&D last time. He meets a similar line-up and Richard Fourie may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

XENOPHON finished 1.9 lengths behind STONEYWOOD last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand.

Race 12

SPACE MISSION finished 0.75 lengths behind BRAVE VIKING last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He jumps from a good draw of two and can return to winning ways.

BRAVE VIKING was doing his best work late when third over 1450m on the Inside course last time. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from six starts over this C&D. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be competitive.

KAMBATI followed up his maiden win with a good victory over 1450m on the Inside course. The son of Erupt is in a good space and with 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson retaining the ride, he can notch up the hat-trick
