Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday 27th May where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
BISON WARRIOR raced from a handy position over this distance on the turf last time, but found one too good in the form of Fire Chief. The son of The United States is a progressive type and if taking to the polytrack, he may be the one to beat.
KIKI U BEAUTY finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
ASHEEF is an unraced daughter of Real Gone Kid from the Louis Goosen stable with 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson aboard. She is related to four-time winner Brazil Nut. If not too green in running, she should produce a positive showing. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.
Race 2
LIZ HURLEY showed improvement when fifth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is a progressive type and if taking to the polytrack, she may be the one to beat.
SEI BELLA found one too good in the form of Palace Of Arverni last time. She finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
FLORAL KINGDOM finished 0.2 lengths behind the second selection last time. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is coming along the right way and she can finish in the placings.
Race 3
MENAGERIE is the top bet on the programme. She ran a cracker when second in the Grade 3 Tote Strelitzia Stakes last time. The daughter of Rafeef showed good speed that day before getting caught late by Querari Dancer. She is back in Maiden Company and if taking to the polytrack, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
LEGAL TANGO showed good improvement when third over this distance on the turf last time. She raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Legislate is a progressive type and may be the one to complete the exacta.
BOOGY finished 2 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and she may have to settle for the same result.
Race 4
This is a weak Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is BARRY’S BOY from the visiting Lucinda Woodruff stable. He returns from a 16-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The son of Ideal World has scope and if taking to the polytrack, he can show good improvement.
HIGHVELD STORM finished 1.5 lengths behind DONMAGOO last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
DONMAGOO stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. It is encouraging that Keagan de Melo keeps faith in the ride. With luck in running, he would not be a shock winner.
Race 5
FINE WINE was far from disgraced when 1.55 lengths behind Gerbera in the Listed East Coast Cup last time. She won her penultimate outing over 1900m on this course. The daughter of Futura drops back in class and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
ZENA ROSE finished 1.7 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
HODGEPODGE is a winner of her last two starts over 1900m on the turf. The daughter of Ideal World received a five-pound penalty for her last victory. She is in a good space and can notch up the hat- trick.
Race 6
HAPPY FORTUNE is better than her last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. She has won twice and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. The daughter of Pathfork runs well for Rachel Venniker and from Barrier Two, she may be the one to beat.
ACT OF GRACE was an easy winner of her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
IZIBULO finished 3.1 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 7
SUGARBUSH was her own worst enemy over this C&D last time as she over raced in the early stages. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. She takes a drop in class and if switching off early, she can notch up her second-career victory.
KAAPSE KLOPSE won a good race over 1200m on this course last time. He returns from a well-deserved 16-week break. If not in need of the run, he should go close.
CAPPELLINO was doing his best work late when third over this C&D last time. He jumps from an ideal draw of three and we can expect to see another honest performance.
Race 8
RAINBOW REWARD won a good race over this C&D last time. He showed good speed and found more to keep all challengers at bay. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Anaas Mosaheb retains the ride and the combination can follow up with another victory.
JET LEGACY stayed on when fifth over this distance on the turf last time. The 6yo gelding takes a drop in class. He is a better horse on the turf, but cannot be discounted with 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Damyan Pillay back in the saddle.
CATCH A PENNY rallied late when second over this C&D last time. She takes a drop in class and with a bit of luck from her awkward barrier position, she should give the males a run for their money
