Race 2

ONWARD raced from a handy position over this distance at Turffontein last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Master’s Rose. The daughter of Malmoos is a progressive type and she can go one better.

LOLLY WILLOWES should have finished closer last time as she hung inwards in the final 250m. Calvin Habib steps back into the saddle and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ANAHITA has finished third in her last two starts. She returns from a 19-week break and is having her first run for Joe Soma. The daughter of Vercingetorix has scope and she should be involved at the finish.

Race 3

COVER CHARGE has produced two fair runs to date. The son of Erik The Red returns from an 11-week break and is having his first outing as a gelding. He gets the services of Mickaelle Michel who takes the 1.5kgs off his back. He is a horse with scope and can show good improvement.

DOCTOR STRANGELOVE took time to find his feet on debut and stayed on to finish third. The son of Master Of My Fate would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should fight out the finish.

WINDING POWER was outrun late by Cronus over 1700m on the Classic course last time. He gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson which may assist his cause. The son of Trippi would not be a shock winner.

Race 4

MOUNT DARWIN ran on from last when second over 2000m at Turffontein last time. The son of Ideal World has dropped to a competitive rating. He should have no issues with the drop to 1700m and can go one better.

REPETITION finished 2.4 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough to turn the form around. The son of Twice Over will be mowing down the frontrunners.

WAR REPORTER was an easy winner of his last start over 1600m at Turffontein. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Vercingetorix is in a good space and can follow up.

Race 5

MYSTICAL MISS has fair consistent form to her name. She lost a length leaving the start over 1000m on the Classic course last time and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Rafeef finished third in her penultimate outing on this course. She takes a drop in class and can notch up her second-career victory.

QUIET WINTER showed some signs of needing her comeback run over 1000m on the Classic course. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and she is one of the leading contenders.

ANGEL’S OASIS quickened up well to win her last start over 1000m at Turffontein. She received a four-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect. enclosure.

RABBLE ROUSER followed up her debut victory with a good third-place finish over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She set the pace and tried hard all the way to the line. The daughter of Rafeef will enjoy the drop to 1200m. She has plenty of scope and with Keagan de Melo back in the saddle, she should take a power of beating.

SIGRID SWING found more to win her last start over this C&D. She received a six- pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

FAIR PROPOSAL stayed on when fourth over 1600m on the Classic course last time. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Legislate will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 7

KOMATI RIVER was super-impressive when winning her last start over this C&D. She showed good speed, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. The daughter of Vercingetorix is having her peak run. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson retains the ride and the combination can follow up with another victory.
