Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 29th May where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

RACE 1

WILD STAR ran a creditable race when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. She raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is a progressive type and may be the one to beat.

ETERNAL SPIRIT is better than her last start suggests as she was reported to be fatigued. It must be noted that Marchland has come out and won again since. She returns from an 11-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Master Of My Fate has scope and is a threat.

TRICKLE CHARGE is an unraced daughter of Master Of My Fate from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to two-time winner Sally Port. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

RACE 2

EUGENIUS is having his first run for the Juan Nel stable. He ran a fair race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He gets the tongue-tie fitted for the first time. The son of Vercingetorix is the stable elect with Chad Little up. If settled into his new surroundings, he can shed his maiden tag.

TURBULENT has produced two good runs since arriving in the Eastern Cape. The saddle was reported to have slipped last time. The son of Rafeef may enjoy racing on the turf track and is one of the leading contenders.

HERE COMES JOHNNY has finished third in his last four starts on this course. The 11-week break may have done him the world of good. Kyle Strydom may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

RACE 3

STRAIGHT RED was slow into stride over 1900m last time, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Rafeef is the stable elect with Marco van Rensburg in the saddle. He is ideally drawn in Barrier Two and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can surprise.

MAKAJIMA was touched off in his last start over 1300m on the polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

SIXTYZERO finished 0.05 lengths behind BUGLE last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

RACE 4

ALAKAZAM has shown improvement since relocating to the Eastern Cape. She stayed on when fourth over 1400m on the polytrack last time. The daughter of Rafeef may enjoy racing on this turf course. She is having her peak run and may be the one to side with.

OH MANDY is still a maiden after 24 starts. Her last effort over this distance on the polytrack was good. She gets the tongue-tie fitted for the first time which may do the trick.

ONE SUMMER should have finished closer last time as she was steadied late. The daughter of One World is drawn in pole position and with luck in running, she should be involved at the finish.

RACE 5

TOO LATE MY MATE has consistent form to her name. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is having her first outing for the Dean Smith stable. She takes a drop in class and Craig Zackey is booked to ride. If settled into her new surroundings, she can notch up her second-career victory.

ONE DANCE should have finished closer in the Listed Milkwood Stakes last time as she had to ease at the 200m mark. She won her penultimate outing on this course. If this run has not come too soon, she should pose a threat.

HAZE AND SMOKE lacked a finish over 1600m on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that Kleinzee has come out and won again since. She won her only attempt over this C&D and merits healthy respect.

Race 6

BAD MEDICINE is unbeaten in four starts since arriving in the Eastern Cape. He won a game race in the Non-Black Type Glenlair Trophy over 2800m last time. The son of Vercingetorix is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Muzi Yeni knows him well and the combination should take a power of beating.

HOME REEF finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights which is enough to turn the form around. However, BAD MEDICINE won easier than the official margin suggests and may still have the upper hand.

BOURNEMOUTH is better than his last start with the blinkers fitted and the headgear has been quickly removed. He finished 3.5 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

RACE 7

ONE TOO MANY is better than his last start as he was reported to be fatigued. His form prior to that outing was consistent. The 7yo gelding takes a drop in class and with Muzi Yeni back in the saddle, he may be the one to side with.

STRANGE MAGIC’S last two starts have been good. She runs well for Kyle Strydom and should give the males a run for their money.

DETAILED FORECAST set the pace over this distance on the polytrack last time and kept finding to hold all challengers at bay. She finished 1.5 lengths behind the second selection in her penultimate run. She is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

RACE 8

INGQWELE is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. It must be noted that multiple horses from his last form line have come out and won since. He returns from a well- deserved 10-week break. The son of Fire Away is ideally drawn in Barrier Two and can bring up the hat- trick.

WILD FIG took his chances in the Listed WSB East Cape Derby last time. He finished 1 length behind the top choice, three runs ago. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

GEORGE HANDEL lost a length leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish fourth. He has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this distance. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and will be running on
