SABRE WING produced an encouraging debut effort over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. The daughter of Elusive Fort was green in running and would have gained from the experience. With the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.
MIND OVER YOU showed some signs of needing her debut effort over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have come on from the run and should enjoy the rise to 1200m. Kabelo Matsunyane steps into the saddle and she should have good improvement to come.
ROCK THE ROAD has produced two creditable efforts to date. She lost two lengths leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish third. The daughter of Rafeef is a progressive type and if getting away on terms, she should be competitive.
Race 3
AFRICAN WILD DOG has finished second in his last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. He moved up like a winner that day and tried hard all the way to the line. The son of Querari is a progressive type and from his good draw of two, he can go one better.
IT‘SGOOD IT‘SNICE is much better than his last start in the Grade 3 Langerman. He finished 0.2 lengths behind the top selection in his penultimate outing. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
ZANFAN MORIS did not enjoy the going over 1500m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. On the form of his penultimate run, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
