Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Saturday 23rd May where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

LENOXX showed good improvement when fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was eye-catching. The son of Querari is a progressive type and will strip much fitter. With luck in running, he can shed his maiden tag.

ENJOY THE RIDE produced a promising debut effort over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He finished off his race strongly that day and will love the rise to 1200m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should go close.

SNOW WARRIOR took his place in the Non-Black Type Xmas Futurity Plate on debut. He returns from a 21-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Declarationofpeace has scope and if not in need of the run, he should have good improvement to come.

Race 2

WAR EMPEROR was touched off in his last start over 1200m. The son of Act Of War is having his peak run and will be cherry-ripe. He is drawn widest in Barrier Nine, but gets the services of Keagan de Melo who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

THE NAME OF DLADLA has finished second in his last three starts. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. Andrew Fortune is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of him.

ETZEBETH should have finished closer last time as he hung outwards in the final 450m. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. If Apprentice Dezahn Louw can keep him straight, he should be competitive.

Race 3

TARGARYEN KNIGHT produced an encouraging comeback run over this C&D last time. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. He finished 1.2 lengths behind NEXT OF KIN that day and is 1kg better off at the weights. The son of Heavenly Blue will strip much fitter and with luck in running, he can cause the surprise.

NEXT OF KIN has finished second in his last three starts over this distance. He gets the services of Gavin Lerena who may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

MASTER BOMBER is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over 1500m on this course. He received a five-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Lancaster Bomber steps back up in class, but he is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick

Race 4

TALK TO THE MASTER ran a good race when second in the Non-Black Type Race Coast Sales Big Cap last time. The son of Master Of My Fate won his previous two efforts on this course. He should have no issues with the rise to 1600m and despite his big mass of 63.5kgs, he may be the one to beat.

FRERE JACQUES was an easy winner of his last start over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course. He received an eight-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Louis The King takes on stronger, but he looks to be above average and may be up to the task at hand.

JP’S PALACE has good consistent form to his name. He finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice, four runs ago. He is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 5

GET UP showed her class when winning the Grade 3 TAB Pretty Polly Stakes over 1100m at Turffontein last time. She raced from just off the pace, moved up well and won with a ton in hand. The well-bred daughter of What A Winter clearly has class about her and she may be the one to beat.

FLOWER ISLAND was an impressive winner in her comeback run over 1160m at Turffontein. The daughter of Rafeef would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She takes on stronger, but has class about her and can remain unbeaten.

QUERARI DANCER was given a peach of a ride by Andrew Fortune when victorious in the Grade 3 Tote Strelitzia Stakes last time. The daughter of Querari has the benefit of racing on this track. She is a filly loaded with ability and merits healthy respect.

Race 6

RICH MAN’S WORLD is the top bet on the programme. He is unbeaten from three starts and each of those victories have been super-impressive. The son of One World drew clear of the opposition to win the Grade 3 Tote Godolphin Barb Stakes over 1100m last time. He does face his toughest test to date, but looks to have plenty of class and should keep his unbeaten record intact.

HAUTE COUTURE caught the eye when victorious on debut over 1000m at Turffontein. The son of Rafeef showed natural gate speed and won with a ton in hand. He takes on stronger, but could be anything and is a threat.

TIME IS PRECIOUS is a winner of his last three starts, the latest of which was in the Grade 3 TAB Protea Stakes. The son of Querari is a progressive individual and merits healthy respect.

Race 7

This is a competitive Grade 2 Golden Horse Sprint and caution is advised. The tentative first choice is CAFE CULTURE from the Lucinda Woodruff stable. He returned to winning ways in the Grade 3 Champagne Stakes last time. The son of Var has dropped back to a competitive rating and the booking of Richard Fourie is a big plus. Trainer Lucinda Woodruff is in fine form in KwaZulu-Natal, and the 6yo gelding can notch up his ninth-career victory.

COSMIC SPEED showed good signs of a form return when 0.3 lengths behind JERUSALEMA RAIN last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

JERUSALEMA RAIN showed guts and determination when winning the Grade 2 TAB Senor Santa Stakes last time. He showed good speed and fought back well. Mickaelle Michel retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

Race 8

ASIYE PHAMBILI returned to winning ways in the Grade 3 Dennis Drier Poinsettia Stakes last time. The manner in which she quickened away from the opposition that day was eye-catching. The daughter of What A Winter would have come on with the run. Sean Veale knows her well and if all goes according to plan, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

DOUBLE GRAND SLAM was a comfortable winner in the Grade 1 TAB Empress Club Stakes last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix was unlucky not to have won this race last year as she had no clear run. Andrew Fortune steps back into the saddle and from a midfield draw, she is a massive runner.

MIA MOO showed very good signs of a form return when third in the Grade 1 TAB Computaform Sprint last time. Her last victory came under Richard Fourie. The daughter of Vercingetorix won this race last year and will be looking to defend her title.

Race 9

GREEN GATEWAY is better than his last start in the Grade 3 Byerley Turk over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The son of Gimmethegreenlight caught the eye when winning his penultimate start in the Listed Sophomore Sprint over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He is fitted with the blinkers which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He is a horse with ability and may be the one to side with.

SAUDI CAT returns from a 35-week break. The imported son of Hurricane Cat is lightly raced with good form to his name. He is a horse with ability and if not in need of the run, he should pose a threat.

KAALVOET was given a peach of a ride when winning the Listed In Full Flight Handicap last time. The son of Elusive Fort is clearly in a good space and will be mowing down the frontrunners
