Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Sunday 14th June where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
Race 1
BEAUTIFUL ROSIE is an imported daughter of Maurice (sire of sensational Australian sprinter, Mazu). Her mother, Bella Rosa won a Grade 3 on debut over 1000m at Flemington. Gavin Lerena will do duty for the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable. If not in need of the outing, she should start her career on a positive note.
ELUSIVE DRAGON showed speed over 1160m on this course last time, but found one too good in the form of Timeless. With racing experience on her side, she may be hard to peg back.
HOC EST VITA showed good improvement when second over 1160m on this course last time. She finished 3.1 lengths behind the second choice, three runs ago. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
Race 2
SNOWBLADE produced a promising debut effort over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. He took time to find his feet, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating. He is carded to race on 11 June 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
RIVERA is an unraced daughter of Malmoos from the Johan Janse van Vuuren yard with Keagan de Melo in the saddle. She is related to multiple winners including Celestial Love and Amarandi. If not too green in running, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.
MFULATHELA stayed on when fourth over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He is a horse with scope and can earn another cheque.
Race 3
MISS RIVER DANCER ran a good race when fourth over 1200m at the Vaal last time. The daughter of Summa Cum Laude gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. She is a filly with scope and in this field, she may be the one to side with.
MASTER’S LADY has fair consistent form to her name. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
IRISH WILMA found one too good in the form of Heath House last time. The daughter of William Longsword has plenty of scope and should give her older rivals a run for their money.
Race 4
KWAITO understandably raced green on debut over this C&D, but stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that Haute Couture has come out and won a Grade 1 since. The son of Elusive Fort would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
ISAAC STEPHAN has shown good improvement in each of his outings to date. He raced from a prominent position last time, but found one too good in the form of Sosoru. If not in need of the run, he should pose a massive threat.
BERRY LANCER was outrun late when third over 1200m on the Inside course last time. The son of Lance drops to 1000m and the blinkers should sharpen him up. He is coming along the right way and cannot be discounted.
Race 5
BE ALL YOU CAN BE is the top bet on the programme. She produced a promising debut effort over this distance at the Vaal. She moved up like a winner before getting caught late by Anahita. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she can go one better.
MASTER SMOKER found one too good in the form of Life In Colour on debut. The son of Master Of My Fate would have come on from the run and is one of the leading contenders.
JIMMY VEGA has finished fourth in both his efforts to date. He steps up to 1400m and the blinkers are fitted. The son of Malmoos is progressive and may have more to come.
Race 6
POETS WARRIOR is much better than his last start in the Listed TAB Gold Bowl. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Wylie Hall is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
BELLEROPHON fought hard for his last victory over this distance at the Vaal. He carries a light mass of 50.5kgs thanks to the services of Mickaelle Michel. He is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.
BREEZE OVER is better than his recent form suggests. He has won twice, finished second three times and third once from nine starts over this C&D. On best form shown, he can feature.
Race 7
MAX THE MAGICIAN tried hard when second over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Karate Kid. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and with luck in running, he can return to winning ways.
SOSORU is lightly raced with good form to his credit. He cost himself winning last time as he hung in the final 200m. He is drawn on the outside and if keeping on a straight line, he may be hard to peg back.
CAPTAIN SELVIE is a winner of her last three starts, the latest of which was over 1200m at the Vaal. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. The daughter of Captain Of All is in a good space and should give the males a run for their money.
Race 8
GIMMESUMLUV stayed on at the finish when fourth over 1600m on the Inside course last time. The drop to 1400m may do the trick. She meets the right field and with luck from her awkward draw of eight, she can shed her maiden tag.
BEAUTIFUL ONE finished 0.9 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
GLOBAL ROYALTY finished 1.2 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. The pair meet on the same weight terms and she may have to settle for the same result. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners
