Winning Form selections for racing from the Vaal on Thursday 3rd September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge.

Race 1

PERIODIC TABLE is lightly raced with creditable form to his name. His last form line has worked out well with Brave Waam, the second and fourth horses winning since. The 10-week break would have done him the world of good. Keagan de Melo steps back into the saddle and he may be the one to side with.

ELEGANT EDGE has fair recent form to her name. She was reported to be not striding out and blowing last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

AUTOGRAPH has shown good improvement in his last two efforts. The removal of the alumites seems to have done the trick. He finished third in his penultimate outing over this C&D. He is carded to race on 27 August 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 2

DASH EIGHT produced an encouraging debut effort over this distance at Turffontein. She took time to find her feet, but stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She returns from a 12-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. Marco van Rensburg retains the ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.

MIDNIGHT SPECIAL cost herself leaving the start last time. She finished off her race strongly but found one too good in the form of Master’s Lady. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. If getting away on terms, she should pose a massive threat.

AMADIOO ran a fair race on debut over 1160m at Turffontein. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She would have come on from the effort and should make the natural progression.

Race 3

STEEL PIER raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Special Envoy. The son of The United States runs well for 1.5kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx- Jacobson. He meets the right field and can go one better.

CAMPO FORMIO finished 4 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. On the form of his penultimate outing, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

HANDSOME BADGER finished 6 lengths behind the top choice on debut. He was in need of the experience and would have come on nicely from the outing. The son of Rafeef may be at his best over further, but can improve to finish in the placings.

Race 4

GO FOR BROKE is the top bet on the programme. She made the expected natural improvement when running on for second over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. The daughter of Querari steps back up to 1400m and meets the right field. Gavin Lerena steps into the saddle and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

NORTHERN EUROPEAN finished 2.2 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result. She is carded to race on 27 August 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

KNOCKIN‘ BOOTS was a tad disappointing over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She finished third over this C&D in her penultimate run. The daughter of Hawwaam has scope and she can finish in the placings.

Race 5

FREE IN SEATTLE hails from the in-form St John Gray stable. She ran a good race when third over 1800m on the Classic course last time. The daughter of Mambo In Seattle returns from a 16-week break, during which time she would have freshened up. She takes a drop in class and if not in need of the outing, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.

ART NOUVEAU ran on powerfully when winning her last start over this distance on the Classic course. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect. She is carded to race on 29 August 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

AZALEAS FOR ALL finished second last time, despite reported to be not striding out. She finished 1 length behind the second choice in her penultimate outing. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

Race 6

ITSNOWORNEVER is better than his last start over 1600m on this course. He ran a cracker when second over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course in his penultimate run. His last victory came over this distance, in this class. Apprentice Anaas Mosaheb takes the 4kgs off his back which will assist his cause. From his good draw of two, he may be the one to side with.

HEROIC ACT stayed on when third over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He has won once and finished third twice from four starts over this C&D. He is carded to race on 27 August 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

ARUMUGAM is better than his last start on this course as he raced wide around the turn and was reported to be distressed. He drops back in class and the booking of Gavin Lerena is a big plus. On best form shown, he can go close..

Race 7

GALLIC VICTOR was beaten a short-head in his stable debut over 1450m on the Classic course. He challenged strongly but was touched off by Brave Waam who is a progressive individual. The son of Vercingetorix would have come on from the outing. Muzi Yeni steps into the saddle and he may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.

FORCE PUBLIQUE ran a fair race in his comeback effort over 1800m on this course. He would have come on from the run and should strip fitter. On best form shown, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

TOP FLOOR was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this distance on the Classic course. He returns from a 26-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The son of Rafeef takes on stronger, but looks to have scope and may be up to the task at hand.

Race 8

ONE TIGER stayed on when third over 1160m at Turffontein last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he should have no issues with the rise to 1400m. The son of One World is racing off a competitive rating and can return to winning ways.

SEA SHANTY was outrun late when third over 1600m on this course last time. He meets a similar line-up and Jockey Callan Murray retains the ride. The 6yo gelding is in good form and merits obvious consideration.

UNSOLVED RIDDLE finished 2 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. He will be mowing down the frontrunners at the finish
