Race 1
IMPRESSIVE stayed on when second over this distance at Turffontein last time. She was beaten under a length over this C&D in her penultimate outing. The daughter of Erik The Red is coming along the right way and she can shed her maiden tag.
LUCKY AWESOME is an unraced son of One World from the Sean Tarry stable with Craig Zackey in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Cape Lights and Chocolate Soldier. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrant.
WAR DOG is a son of Act Of War from the St John Gray yard with Keagan de Melo in the irons. He is related to ten- time winner Argo Alley. If not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself.
Race 2

COOL REGGAE finished 1 length behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
REGAL QUEEN showed massive improvement when third over this distance last time. If confirming that effort, she can show.
Race 3
DESTINY’S DREAM ran a good race when second in her stable debut over 1160m at Turffontein last time. She moved up like a winner before getting caught late by Drachenfutter. The daughter of Master Of My Fate would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Craig Zackey rides and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
BRIGITTE ANNE was outrun late when third over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She would have come on from the outing and is one of the leading contenders.
SABALENKA was a beaten odds-on favourite over 1160m at Turffontein last time. Her debut effort when second over this C&D, catches the eye. She is carded to race on 30 April 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
Race 4
SANDS OF VALHALLA produced a promising debut effort over this C&D, two weeks ago. He showed good speed before getting outrun late by Egremont. The son of Erik The Red would have gained from the experience. He gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to beat.
PERIODIC TABLE ran a creditable race on debut over 1160m at Turffontein. He was reported to be fatigued that day. The son of Danon Platina would have come on from the run and should pose a threat.
CAPTAIN COOPER stayed on after a slow start on debut over this C&D. If getting away on terms, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 5
ROMILLY was an easy winner of his last start over this C&D. He took the lead at the 200m mark and drew clear of the opposition. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. The son of What A Winter is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.
DANTE’S BOND finished 0.5 lengths behind ROCK OF BISMANTOVA last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is carded to race on 30 April 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
ROCK OF BISMANTOVA showed speed when winning his last start over 1160m at Turffontein. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. Race 6
RINGA RINGA ROSES has produced two creditable efforts since her 13-week rest. She was outrun late over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. The daughter of Louis The King is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. With her handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs, she may be the one to side with.
LADY SABRINA should have finished closer to the winner last time. With a bit of luck in running, she should pose a threat.
SONIC JET is better than her last start in the Grade 3 WSB Sycamore Sprint as she was reported to be not striding out. She has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. On best form shown, she should be competitive.
Race 7
SOUTHAMPTON has finished third in her last two starts. She raced from a handy position over 1600m on the Classic course last time and stayed on to finish third. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Jacey Botes steps back into the saddle and if taking to the straight course, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
EIGHT HATS stayed on when second over 1200m on the Classic course last time. The daughter of Hat Puntano is racing off a competitive rating and she should pose a threat.
GREENANDGOLD was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over this distance at Turffontein last time. She takes on stronger opposition, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand
