Edinburgh:
Edinburgh come into the round in tenth place with a record of 3 wins and 5 defeats but they do have a game in hand over the two sides immediately above them and they are only 2 points off a top 8 spot.
Edinburgh’s only URC action in January saw them edge out Benetton (15-14) away from home. Their other wins came in home fixtures, the first clash with Benetton (43-0) in Round 4 and against the Ospreys (19-17) in Round 6. This will be Edinburgh’s first URC clash with South African opposition this season.
Despite being thrashed 63-10 away to Bath last weekend Edinburgh finished fourth in their Champions Cup pool thanks to a 26-24 home win over Gloucester in Round 3 and they will visit Leinster in the Round of 16.
