The Ospreys most recent action came in the Challenge Cup Round of 16 earlier this month and they went down narrowly (28-24) away to Ulster.

Recent results include a 21-10 home win over Ulster followed by defeats away from home at Benetton (31-19) and Connacht (21-14). The Ospreys were in South Africa for the first 2 rounds of the season and they lost 53-40 at the Bulls and 26-10 to the Stormers. They hosted the Lions in Round 10, a game which finished in a 24-24 draw.

The Sharks finished the previous round in tenth position in the URC standings with a record of 6 wins, 1 draw and 7 defeats and given they are 7 points off a play off place time is also running out and they have little, if any margin for error.
Most recently they chalked up back to back home wins over Munster (45-0) and Cardiff (21-15). Earlier matches against Welsh sides saw the Sharks draw at the Dragons (17-17) in Round 2 and in Round 5 they beat the Scarlets 29-19 in Durban.
After this the Sharks visit Edinburgh before home games against Benetton and Zebre.
