SpursStadiumSpurs v Liverpool is the pick of Saturday's English Premier League coupon and we also take a look at Aston Villa v Brighton, Bournemouth v Arsenal and West Ham v Sheffield United.

Aston Villa 15/10 Draw 2.84/1 Brighton 1.57/1

Villa are sixth with 4 wins and 2 defeats against their name. They were 1-0 winners at Chelsea last week, scoring the vital goal after their opponents were reduced to 10 men. That bucked the trend of high scoring games as 4 of the previous 5 Villa league games saw at least 4 goals scored in total and the other was a 3-0 defeat at Liverpool.

Brighton came from 1-0 down to beat Bournemouth 3-1 in a home fixture last week. They come into the weekend in third spot with a record of 5 wins and 1 defeat and they are 3 points behind league leaders Manchester City. Their games have been laden with goals and a Brighton win with both sides finding the net is an early season trend which has arrived in 5 of 6 league games.

The Verdict:

Both these sides exited the EFL Cup in midweek but given they are both involved in Europa competitions I doubt they will be too concerned. Back to league business and it should be a very watchable game with scope for goals and I'm looking for a draw of the scoring variety.

Bournemouth 47/10 Draw 37/10 Arsenal 5/10

Bournemouth are 1 of 4 sides still looking for a first league win but 3 draws in their first 6 outings is keeping them out of the drop zone. Home form consists of low scoring draws with West Ham and Chelsea either side of a 2-0 defeat to Spurs.

Arsenal led the derby at home to Spurs twice last weekend but had to settle for a 2-2 draw which to me was probably a fair result. They remain unbeaten with 4 wins and 2 draws which puts them in fifth spot and 2 EPL road trips so far have delivered 1-0 wins at Palace and Everton.

The Verdict:

Arsenal have picked up a couple of knocks and their team news will be worth monitoring. I'm going to restrict my interest to a nibble at Zinchenko to pop up with a goal any time at a price where you only need a small stake.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Zinchenko at 10/1 with Playabets

West Ham 5/10 Draw 3.65/1 Sheffield United 5.34/1

West Ham have suffered back to back defeats in the league but the opposition was from the top draw as they went down at home to Man City and away at Liverpool (both 3-1). Prior to that they reeled off 3 straight wins including a 3 -1 victory at home to Chelsea.

Sheffield United crashed and burned 8-0 at home to Newcastle last week and their only point so far came from a 2-2 draw at home to Everton. Among their better performances, a 2-1 home defeat to a late Man City winner and a 2-1 defeat at Spurs when they conceded 2 injury time goals.

The Verdict:

Given the way the Blades finished in a heap against Newcastle last week you'd expect the home side to get the job done. I'm with West Ham to score in both halves of football.

Spurs 19/10 Draw 3/1 Liverpool 12/10

Son scored both of the Spurs goals in the 2-2 draw at Arsenal to preserve their unbeaten run in the league. From their 6 matches 4 wins and 2 draws is good enough for fourth spot, a 2-0 home win over Manchester United came in 1 of just 2 home games so far and they now take aim at Liverpool.

Liverpool's 3-1 win at home to West Ham saw them finish the previous round of matches in second spot, 2 points behind City. Their only dropped points this season came in London, a 1-1 draw at Chelsea on the opening weekend and they have since won at Newcastle (2-1) and Wolves (3-1).

The Verdict:

At the time of writing the fitness of Maddison for Spurs was in some doubt and given he is such a key man it could be worth holding fire for more news or even the team sheets.

Without that luxury I will focus on the any time goal scorer markets. Pedro Porro was excellent for Spurs last week and with this being a home game he might have more opportunity to get forward. I've convinced myself he will pop up with a goal sometime soon, hopefully on Saturday.

For a Liverpool scorer I will chance my arm with Darwin Nunez who I think will start.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Pedro Porro at 8.32/1 with Playabets

Anytime goalscorer Darwin Nunez at 1.64/1 with Playabets
