Generally only two possible outcomes in this tour when there are a few hills - either Pogs wins or there are UAE riders in the break with a good chance of winning. Joining Brent on his Yates pick and taking two match bet doubles

Man what a pity Visma rode for the stage I thought Yates was going to deliver 

Sad to see Vingaard crash like that and the race loses something without him there

Filippo Ganna to win Stage 16 at 15.0 and Top 3 at 2.10

Nothing for me on the outrights this rest day. Should have taken that 11/2 Remco podium last week though.

Stage 16

Will join Brent on the Ganna Top 3. Thought his climb on the opening day TTT was impressive. Taking Voisard as he is 11th here so will ride and did finish 3rd against a good field in the Swiss ITT.

Must have got the worst of the conditions yesterday. Cannot see how Skjelmose can take 27 seconds off Ganna over 5kms on a slight incline in an ITT.

Wow what a stage 

After the disappointment of Lipo crashing out yesterday I basically wrote the Philipsen bet off but he hung in there for  agreat win - what a team mate he has in MVDP chasing down breaks in the last 10km and then giving him a brilliant lead out 

That win though puts ny Pedersen Green Jersey play in danger and UAE appear to have sacrificed the team comp after getting within 23 secs - my original 12/1 pick will likely win but I went big on UAE and will only pull square
