It wasn't a great betting weekend for me, and although I hit profit in two of the four Currie Cup games, my biggest bet was on the Stormers over 3.5 tries, and that never looked a runner.
I never really got involved in the Springboks v New Zealand Second Test and was just relieved that the Boks got the win, although I did throw a few units at the last try-scorer markets. So I was less than impressed with Rassie when my 18/1 pick Thomas du Toit was suddenly put into the starting lineup rather than coming off the bench!
Bookmakers have priced up on the Third Test, and the Boks are currently -6.5 for the match, which takes place at Soccer City in Johannesburg.
We're also down to the Currie Cup semi-finals, with Griquas topping the log and earning themselves a home semi-final against the Lions, who managed to scrape into fourth.
The Cheetahs were well beaten by the Pumas in Nelspruit, but they get an early chance for revenge as they welcome the Pumas to Bloemfontein in their semi-final.
I'll be out with my handicap projections on Monday.
Have a good week, everyone, and I look forward to your thoughts on this thread.
