Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday 16th May where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
SPARKLING STAR was a beaten odds-on favourite over 1200m on this course last time. Her debut effort when second over this C&D, catches the eye. The daughter of Rafeef may be at her best over this distance at this stage of her career. Unless one of the first timers have class about them, she should take a power of beating.
WORLD OF SECRETS showed some improvement when fourth over this C&D last time. The daughter of One World is a progressive type and may have more to come.
NOBODY’S PERFECT was disappointing in her last start over this C&D. The daughter of Querari showed some promise on debut. She has scope and can finish in the placings.
Race 2
NAVASNINE showed good improvement when second in his first outing as a gelding. He raced from just off the pace, but found one too good in the form of Magma Flow. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on from the outing and will strip much fitter. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
ROMAN BEAUTY produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. She raced from just off the pace, but found one too good in the form of Enticement. The daughter of Danon Platina found betting support that day which suggests that she was showing good work at home. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be competitive.
BLACKBIRD took time to find his feet on debut over this C&D. It must be noted that Rich Man’s World has come out and won again since. The son of New Predator should have good improvement to come.
Race 3
OH SO ONEDERFUL should have won his last start over this C&D as he was held up for a run until the 100m mark. Brevan Plaatjies retains the ride and if confirming his recent improvement, he can shed his maiden tag.
THE BIG BANG stayed on when third over 1200m last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will enjoy the rise to 1400m. With a bit of luck in running, he should pose a threat.
HILTON HEADS finished 0.05 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
Race 4
ROYAL INFLUENCER ran a fair race over 1400m on this course last time. The son of Royal Mo will love the rise to 1800m. He has cracked a good draw of two and if JP van der Merwe is able to switch him off early, he may be the one to beat.
BOURBON KING was running on when second over 1600m on this course last time. The blinkers seem to have done the trick. Craig Zackey retains the ride, and he should go close.
MASTERONTHEMOON was unlucky not to have won his last start over 2000m on this course. The son of Master Of My Fate may be ideally suited to this distance. Richard Fourie retains the ride and with luck in running, he should fight out the finish.
Race 5
TRIP TO CAMELOT has shown good improvement since the gelding in December. He produced a good turn of foot when winning his maiden over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The son of Trippi takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and can follow up with another victory.
BALZI ROSSI is better than his last two starts against stronger. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth in his last outing has come out and won since. He drops back in class and on best form shown, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
MIDWAY finished 3.75 lengths behind BACKINTHEFASTLANE last time. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 6
SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1400m on this course. She challenged strongly, but found one too good in the form of South Of France. The daughter of Rafeef will love the extra 100m on offer and from her good draw of two, she may be the one to beat.
PEACHES AND CREAM finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
MISS ATTITUDE followed up her maiden victory with a creditable fourth-place finish. She was 0.35 lengths behind the top choice that day. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much between them at the finish.
Race 7
IN MOTION was in need of his post maiden effort over 1200m. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Royal Mo won his maiden over this C&D, under Richard Fourie. He will strip a much fitter horse and may be the one to side with.
FERRYMAN won his stable debut over 1400m on this course well. The son of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and will love the extra 100m on offer. He does take on stronger, but should be up to the task at hand.
MARCUS AURELIUS took the lead at the 100m mark last time before getting caught late by Future Free. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. Aldo Domeyer knows him well and the pair merit healthy respect.
Race 8
WORLDCRAFT has been taking on stronger company in her last three starts. She returns from an 12-week break which may have done her the world of good. The daughter of One World has won over this C&D previously. She drops in class and may be the one to side with.
GIN PALACE returns from a 10-week break and is having her first outing for Piet Botha. She drops to 1000m which may be on the sharp side, but Richard Fourie is booked to ride. If not in need of the run, she should give a good account of herself.
BLACK ERIKA showed speed over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time, before getting outrun late. She may be suited to the drop to 1000m and with Craig Zackey in the saddle, she cannot be discounted
