ForestFriday night's English Premier League action comes from the City Ground where Nottingham Forest host a Spurs side who returned to top form last weekend.

Forest

Forest snapped a 4 match losing streak with a decent point away to Wolves last weekend. Wolves were many punters bankers after Forest had lost their previous outing 5-0 away to Fulham and their last 2 homes games saw them go down 3-2 to Brighton and 1-0 to Everton.

The stand out result at home for Forest this season is a 2-0 win over Aston Villa and that is their only victory in the last 12 matches (5 draws, 6 defeats). They have 14 points from 16 league games and are fifth from bottom, 5 points clear of third bottom Luton.

Spurs

Spurs put Newcastle away 4-1 in a home fixture last weekend, a welcome return to the winners box after a run of 4 defeats and 1 draw in the previous 5. Spurs had scored first in all of those 5 games but their only points return came in a 3-3 draw away to Manchester City. The injury list still contains some key players and they made a tweak last weekend with Richarlison coming into the centre of attack, Son playing out wide and Kulusevski playing more centrally.

After winning 8 and drawing 2 of their first 10 games of the season before the lean spell Spurs remain handily placed in fifth spot, 3 points behind fourth placed Man City.

Recent Head to Head

This fixture finished 2-0 to Spurs last season and Spurs were 3-1 winners when the teams met in London.

The Betting

At the time of writing Forest are trading at 34/10 to win the game with the draw priced at 31/10 and Spurs can be backed at around 8/11

A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 0.63/1 and it's 13/20 for both teams to score

Son is 52/10 to score the first goal and 15/10 to score anytime

The Verdict:

Forest were much improved at Wolves but Spurs will take plenty from a much needed victory against Newcastle and the visitors will be a real handful if reproducing that display.

For the goalscorer picks I will side with Spurs' Brennan Johnson to pop up anytime against his old club whilst Forest's Gibbs-White is capable on his day

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Brennan Johnson at 9/4 with BoyleSports

Anytime goalscorer Gibbs-White at 9/2 with BoyleSports
