The pick of the midweek DSTV Premiership matches comes from Orlando on Wednesday where Pirates bid to end Mamelodi Sundowns 100% start to the league season.
Orlando Pirates
Pirates have played just the 4 league games and coming into the midweek program they have 2 games in hand on the 6 teams above them in the standings.
The Bucs began their DSTV Premiership campaign with a 1-0 loss away to Stellenbosch before putting themselves on the board with a 4-2 home win over Royal AM. A 1-1 draw at Chippa was a bit of disappointment but they bounced back with a 2-0 home win over Cape Town City.
Pirates lost a Champions League qualifier 1-0 away to Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana at the weekend with the second leg to come. Pirates have also progressed in the MTN8 semi finals after thrashing Sekhukhune 5-0 in another home game and they have a 2-1 lead against Stellenbosch with the second leg taking place at the weekend.

Mamelodi Sundowns
The log has a familiar look to it with Sundowns winning all 6 of their league games so far, scoring 13 goals and conceding just 2. That puts them 7 points clear (at the end of the previous round of matches) and Downs are also unbeaten in cup competitions, most recently breezing through the first leg of a CAF Champions League qualifier with a 4-0 win over Bumamuru FC in a game staged in Tanzania.
At the weekend Downs come up against Kaizer Chiefs in the second leg of their MTN8 semi final and the scores are locked up at 1-1 with that first leg draw being the only match in any competition that Downs have failed to win this season.

In last season's DSTV Prem meetings Downs completed the double over the Bucs and they have beatenPirates in each of the last 6 league games.
