DSTV Premiership action continues on Wednesday and our focus is on the clash between Stellenbosch FC and Kaizer Chiefs at Athlone Stadium
Stellenbosch
Stellies have played 4 league games, winning 2 and losing 2. Their victories came at home to Pirates (1-0) first time out and they also came away from Royal AM with a 3-1 win. Either side of those games they went down 1-0 away to Polokwane and 2-1 at home to unbeaten Supersport, a game they led 1-0 at half time.
Away from the league Stellenbosch came away from an MTN8 quarter final visit to Supersport with a 1-0 win in extra time and they will take on Pirates in the first leg of the semi finals this weekend.
Kaizer Chiefs
Chiefs had to wait for their fourth league game for their first 3 point haul of the DSTV Premiership season. The 3-0 home win over Amazulu last weekend will have done plenty of good in terms of the mood in the camp after the Amakhosi took 1 point from their first 3 league games. They began with a 0-0 draw with Chippa before losing 2-1 at Sundowns and 1-0 at Galaxy.
Chiefs did beat Cape Town City 2-1 away from home in the MTN8 to set up a semi final clash with Sundowns over 2 legs.
Head to Head
Last season Chiefs did the double over Stellenbosch in the DSTV Prem, winning 3-1 away from home and 2-1 at home. Chiefs also beat Stellies on spot kicks in
the MTN8 in the 2022 after a 1-1 draw.
The Betting
Stellenbosch are trading at 1.65/1 to win the game with the draw priced at 19/10 and Chiefs can be backed at around 18/10
A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 1.46/1 and it's 1.03/1 for both teams to score.

As the match result betting suggests this is a tricky game to call and my preference is for the goals markets.
Both sides have kept just the one clean sheet (from 4 matches) in the league this season and with that, and last season's head to head results in mind I will chance my arm with both teams to score? (yes)
