The final round of English Premier League matches for 2023 gets underway on Saturday and our focus is on Crystal Palace v Brentford and Manchester City v Sheffield United

Palace are without a victory in their last 8 league games and a run of 3 draw and 5 defeats has seen them slip to fifteenth position and just 3 points clear of third bottom Luton. They have won just 1 of 9 home games this season, drawing 3 and losing 5 and their supporters have seen them score just 8 goals at Selhurst Park.
Brentford have lost 6 of their last 7 and they are 1 point and 1 place better off than Palace. A 4-1 home defeat to Wolves last time out will have the alarm bells ringing and they have a lengthy injury list to content with as well.
The Verdict
When these teams met earlier in the season they played out a 1-1 draw and that was also the scoreline in both of last season's league games but I'm with Palace to chalk up a much needed win here.

Man City 1 / 10 Draw 10/1 Sheffield United 26/1
City came from 1-0 down to win 3-1 at Everton on their return from winning the Club World Cup. That was just a second league win in their last 7 games but they are only 5 points off league leaders Liverpool and they have a game in hand.
Sheffield went down 3-2 at home to Luton last time out, scoring 2 own goals in a defeat which leaves them at the foot of the standings with just 9 points, 7 shy of safety. They have managed just 2 points on the road, draws at Brighton and most recently Villa where they were pegged back by a late equalizer.
The Verdict
Sheffield were well organized at Villa recently but their defensive woes came back to haunt them against Luton and you have to fear for them here. I think City will score 4 goals or more and hopefully Foden will get the first one. .
