SpursStadiumEnglish Premier League action continues on New Years Eve when Arsenal visit Fulham and Spurs host in form Bournemouth

Fulham 9/2 Draw 31/10 Arsenal 6/10

Fulham have lost their last 3 matches without finding the net. They went down 3-0 at Newcastle and most recently Bournemouth either side of a 2-0 home defeat to Burnley. That leaves them in thirteenth position with 21 points, 6 clear of the drop zone heading into the new year.

The Gunners missed the opportunity to go top of the standings when they went down 3-0 at home to West Ham on Thursday night. That first home defeat of the season left them in second spot, 2 points behind Liverpool who host Newcastle on Monday. Other defeats came away from home at Newcastle and Villa (both 1-0) and they have conceded just 8 goals in 9 road trips, the best defensive away record in the top flight.

The Verdict

The first meeting this season finished 2-2 and Fulham played really well but they haven't looked in a good space over Xmas and I fancy Arsenal to get back to winning ways.

Odegaard was driving Arsenal on in a below par team display against West Ham, he has a good record of scoring away from home in recent seasons and looks a fair enough price to pop up any time here.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Odegaard at 26/10 with Sportingbet

Spurs 15/20 Draw 32/10 Bournemouth 3/1

Spurs went down 4-2 at Brighton on Thursday. They looked to be heading for a hiding at 4-0 down before a late rally papered over the cracks of a pretty poor display. Spurs won their most recent home game 2-1 against Everton, holding on at the death and they finished the previous round in fifth spot, 6 shy of league leaders Liverpool. Kulusevski is suspended for this game, adding to a long list of unavailable players.

Bournemouth are the form team with 6 wins and 1 draw in their last 7 league games. That includes wins at Sheffield, Palace, Man United and Forest and with 25 points they are just below half way in the standings.

The Verdict

Spurs won the first meeting this season 2-0 but Bournemouth are a very different proposition right now and they will believe there is something for them here. I'm with the draw and will nibble at 2-2 in the correct score market.

Given Spurs are short of first choice defenders I'll go with Solanke to continue his scoring streak whilst Pedro Porro gets yet another opportunity for the home side.

Bets: Correct Score 2-2 at 10.5/1 with Sportingbet

Anytime goalscorer Solanke at 16/10 with Sportingbet

Anytime goalscorer Pedro Porro at 8/1 with Sportingbet
