SpursStadiumThe pick of the FA Cup fourth round ties is Friday's clash between Spurs and the holders of this trophy Manchester City

Spurs

A goal from Pedro-Porro gave Spurs a 1-0 home win over Burnley in the third round and the bookies have them priced at around 11/1 to win the FA Cup this season.

Spurs are fifth in the EPL standings, 3 points behind Villa, Arsenal and Man City and 8 shy of league leaders Liverpool. They have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their last 6 league outings, a decent return given they have Son and others away on international duty and the likes of Maddison is nearing a return from a lengthy injury absence.

Man City

City thrashed Championship side Huddersfield 5-0 in Manchester in the third round with Foden grabbing 2 of the goals. City are the holders of the FA Cup and they are trading at around 3/1 (favourites) to retain the trophy.

City will return to Champions League action next month and although they are 5 points behind Liverpool in the EPL title race they do have a game in hand. They have won 8 and drawn 1 of their last 9 games spanning all competitions which includes a Fifa Club World Cup win and last time out they came from behind to win 3-2 at Newcastle. Haaland has reportedly returned to training, watch the media for news of whether he will be available to play a part here.

Recent Head to Head

When the teams met in the EPL in Manchester in early December they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Spurs have won each of the last 4 EPL head to heads in London and City failed to find the net in all of those games.

The Betting

At the time of writing Spurs are trading at 3.75/1 to win the game with the draw priced at 33/10 and City can be backed at around 13/20

A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 0.47/1 and it's 11/20 for both teams to score

The Verdict

If Haaland is fit City should be pretty much near full strength which is ominous for their rivals in all competitions. However Spurs have the wood over them in London in recent seasons and they too should be well up for a cup run.

We should see goals but I'm looking to the total corners market for a bet. Spurs corner count away to Manchester United last time out went sailing into double digits and with City likely to contribute too, I'm with 11 or more in regulation time.

Bets: Total corners over 10.5 at 21/20 with Sportingbet
